Awlgrip polyurethane and Awlcraft 2000 acrylic topcoats have been used for decades on automotive, marine, aircraft, and commercial applications where the highest quality and most durable low maintenance finish is required. Awlgrip polyurethane is a low maintenance finish not requiring any waxing or buffing. When it is necessary for the topcoat to be buffed and polished, Awlcraft 2000 is used. Only Awlcraft 2000 can be repaired in small areas to blend in completely and invisibly with the surrounding topcoat. Awlgrip polyurethane must be completely recoated and cannot be repaired. Application of Awlcraft 2000 is by spray only. Please indicate in comments section at checkout that Awlcraft 2000 is the topcoat you are ordering. If there is no indication to ship Awlcraft 2000, then Awlgrip topcoat will be shipped.
Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 Clear Coat Bases can successfully be added to their respective colored topcoats for extending the color base and reducing cost. With Awlcraft 2000, this technique is desirable if sanding and buffing the finished surface is to be performed. Greater depth of color is acheived with this technique.
Do not use Awlgrip Clear or Awlcraft Clear with either White or pastel colored bases. Do not apply to bare wood.
